Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Induction ConsortiumThe second element of teacher support is the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Induction Consortium. This program is designed to support and assist first- and second-year teachers with preliminary multiple- and single-subject credentials earn the professional credential. Candidates for BTSA Induction are distinguished from Intern program candidates by their having completed the professional preparation for the preliminary teaching credential. The Tulare County BTSA Induction Consortium currently includes over 250 first- and second-year teachers and nearly 150 Support Providers who work closely together in 31 school districts from throughout Tulare County. The Tulare County BTSA Induction Consortium is approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to recommend teachers who complete the induction process for the Professional Credential.
