An event for middle school students and parents to explore high school, college, and career opportunities March 3, 2009 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Visalia Convention Center 303 E. Acequia Ave., Visalia Exhibitor Information & Registration You are invited to participate in an exciting college and career event being planned for middle school students in Tulare County. Tulare County Office of Education will host the sixth annual College Offers Opportunities for Life (COOL) Night. This event will focus on the needs of students, grades six through eight, to learn about high school, college, and careers. This event has parent and student components, with an expected attendance of 1,000 - 3,000 people from throughout Tulare County. We would like to invite your organization to be an exhibitor in the Opportunity Fair. The objective is to provide information to students and parents in three areas of interest: Careers Colleges High school (in particular clubs, athletics, and organizations) There is no cost to be an exhibitor; however, reservations are required. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. COOL Night Agenda 12:00-4:30 p.m. Exhibit setup 4:30-5:30 p.m. Reception for Exhibitors, College Representatives, Counselors and Event Staff 6:00-8:00 p.m. Opportunity Fair 8:00-9:30 p.m. Exhibit dismantle Parent and student break-out sessions will be occurring from 6:15-8:00 p.m. Exhibitor Guidelines Exhibits should be interactive, hands-on. Students in grades 6-8 like to learn through doing. Promotional items may be distributed, but must be educationally appropriate. Music or logos for drugs, alcohol, or other objectional items are not allowed. Exhibitor space will be a 10'x10' booth and will include one 6' table and two chairs.
