CyberQuest is a student-centered, problem based learning activity designed to lead students to apply higher level thinking skills in an authentic public speaking arena. Students apply research skills to a standards-based, curriculum-oriented thematic project. The work culminates in a multimedia presentation before a panel of judges and a public audience. In its 13th year, CyberQuest has grown from 25 teams to an expected 90 teams involving over 300 students. Our continued success is based on the hard work of teachers and volunte ers throughout the educational and business communities. Founded in Tulare County in 1998, CyberQuest is a student event that features research, presentation, and multimedia production. Students, grades 4-12, work in teams to create their solution to a scenario in a three week period of time and then present their findings in a presentation that combines multimedia with speaking skills.
