Teacher Expectations and Student Achievement (TESA)Julie Joseph serves the Tulare County Office of Education as the Instructional Consultant in Mathematics. Prior to joining the TCOE staff, she served as a middle school mathematics teacher for seven years and a high school mathematics teacher for four years. Julie earned her masters degree from California State University, Northridge in Secondary Education - Mathematics in 1997, and her masters degree in Education - Supervision and Administration and Administrative Credential from California State University, Fresno in 2002.
Julie's responsibilities include assisting teachers, schools, and districts in keeping informed of current issues in mathematics education, including California Mathematics Standards, California High School Exit Exam in Mathematics, and STAR assessments in mathematics. She provides staff development to teachers and administrators in the areas of mathematics standards, instruction, assessment, and classroom uses of technology. In addition, Julie coordinates the Math Super Bowl, Tulare County Electronic Mathematics Network, and the Math Book Chats.
