Gay Atmajian

Gay Atmajian Having served in the field of education for 17 years, Gay has a passion for students, content, and engaging approaches to instruction. Her past instructional roles range from elementary to high school to adult education. Gay holds a bachelorís degree in English from UC Davis, a masterís degree in theological studies from Regent College in Vancouver, BC, and an administrative services credential from Fresno Pacific University. Joining Tulare County Office of Education in 2014 as an ELA/ELD/History-Social Science (HSS) Staff Development & Curriculum Specialist has afforded Gay the privilege of serving local districts in disciplinary and cross-content literacy support based on current research in literacy and pedagogy. She currently serves as regional lead for the HSS Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee (CISC), as Tulare Countyís HSS Staff Development & Curriculum Specialist, and as a member of the San Joaquin Valley Council of Social Studies (SJVCSS). Gay also has had the honor of serving as co-creator and co-presenter of the Literacy 6-12 session of the California Department of Educationís History-Social Science Framework launch events throughout California in 2017-18.
