Visalia Rawhide supports annual scholarship
For the past six years, the Tulare County Office of Education has awarded one outstanding senior a scholarship which pays $1,000 per year for up to four years while the student attends a college or university. "College Night is one of the most widely supported student events we offer each year," says County Superintendent of Schools Jim Vidak. "We appreciate that The Rawhide has joined in supporting College Night and the annual scholarship." On August 23, The Rawhide will play the High Desert Mavericks at Recreation Park, located at 300 N. Giddings Street in downtown Visalia. Gates open at 6:15 p.m.; the game starts at 7:00 p.m. College Night will be held Tuesday, September 13 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Visalia Convention Center. For more information about College Night, visit the College Night website or call Beth Olshewsky at (559) 651-3031. |
