Tulare and Kings Counties' School Districts are seeking applicants for grades K-12, Special Education, and Bilingual K-12 positions who hold a valid teaching credential, or will be eligible for a credential in the appropriate subject area by July 30, 2014. Teacher Career Event

The Fair will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to fully-credentialed teachers (by July 30, 2014) and Intern-eligible candidates who have pre-registered on-line by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Be sure to view the FAQs prior to registering via Ed-JOIN.

Only credentialed and Intern-eligible candidates will be admitted to the Fair.
To be Intern-eligible, you must have passed CSET, or for single subject interns, have a letter of subject matter competency verification from a college or university. If you have taken CSET but have not passed all subtests, see the FAQs on this website.

Candidates who do not pre-register by completing the on-line application will not be admitted into the Fair until 10:00 a.m.

Interested parties should pre-register by completing the on-line Ed-JOIN application by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

For admission, you will need:
  • A copy of your credential, or
  • A copy of your BA degree and proof of subject matter competency by providing passage of CSET (scores earned within the last five years), or a letter of subject matter competency verification from a college/university, or
  • A letter from a university or district intern program stating eligibility for their intern program.
  • A letter from your university program stating that you will complete your credential requirements by July 30, 2014, or you will be eligible to apply for your credential.
On-site interviews will be conducted. It is recommended that candidates come with packets completed and duplicated for distribution to local school districts. A complete application packet consists of:
  • A copy of your Ed-JOIN On-line Application
  • Resumé
  • Letter of Introduction (address to "Human Resources Administrator")
  • Copy of CBEST
  • Copy of Subject Matter Competency (waiver letter or CSET)
  • Copy of RICA (if applicable)
  • Copy of Credential(s)
  • Letters of Recommendation (3 current within the last few years preferred)
  • Copy of Transcripts (unofficial transcripts acceptable)
  • Letter of Eligibility (if applicable)
