Journalism Contest
Through this contest, students will:
- Experience a courtroom setting from the perspective of a news reporter
- Learn about the American legal system from actual judges and attorneys
- Challenge themselves and develop better writing skills
- Gain knowledge and receive advice about a career in journalism
- Meet students from different schools who share an interest in writing
Participating students:
- Must be affiliated with and attend the same school as the participating Tulare County Mock Trial team
- Attend at least one trial with their school’s Mock Trial team during Rounds 1 and 2
- Write and submit one 500-700 word article on the selected round
