Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is an annual opportunity for schools to make a visible stand against drugs and to show their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the red ribbon. This year, committee members – Therese Arnold, Crystal Barraza, Cori Bernal, Jaime Burnitzki, Perla Estrada, Jennifer Fisher, Jessica Fung, Allie Gutierrez, Ivette Lopez, Amber McRae, Dawn Padilla, Margarita Quintana, Judy Ramseier, Al Rodriguez, Elizabeth Sisk, Francia Tapia, Lorena White, Azulie Wilson, Andrea Zacarias, and Aubrey Zigler – have chosen the theme:

Your Future is Key - Stay Drug Free

This year's Red Ribbon t-shirts may be ordered until noon on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. There will be three styles to choose from:
  • Short sleeve crew neck, 4.5 oz. ringspun cotton knit for $13
  • Long sleeve crew neck, 4.5 oz. ringspun cotton knit for $16
  • Ladies short sleeve V-neck, 4.5 oz. ringspun cotton knit for $14
All of the shirts will be dark heather grey with a large copy of the 2017 logo (shown above) printed on the front. The TCOE logo and a red ribbon will be printed on the back. View the order form for a rendition of the t-shirt design.

Back by popular demand this year will be our Red Ribbon Raffle. We will once again be asking each department to donate a gift basket or other item for the drawing. So all you department organizers, start thinking about ideas for your group's contribution. Individuals and outside companies may also donate prizes. Last year, we raffled 30 items, many worth in excess of $50! The bar has been set - let's see what we can do this year! We always knew TCOE had the best employees! A list of last year's donors and winners is online to help you get started with some ideas.

All proceeds from the week will be donated to the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Tulare County. This non-profit organization advocates for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in Tulare County. To learn more about the group and how you can make a difference in a child's life, visit www.casatulareco.org.
