Building Soda Springs Bridge

This is the site called Soda Springs on Bear Creek at SCICON. On December 31, 1996, flooding from five days of continuous rain (during Christmas Vacation) carried away the Soda Springs Bridge. The Construction Battallion #406 of Lemoore Naval Air Station has undertaken the project of rebuilding the bridge. Once completed, the bridge and trail will once again provide trailgroup access (including wheelchair access) to this beautiful area on the SCICON campus. EOC Chief Everest and BU2 Frank Goetz of CBU #406 survey the bridge site in prepartion for the construction. |
