Youth Employment Programs

The SEE Youth Employment Program enrolls approximately 600 students in Tulare County on an annual basis. The program is funded by the Tulare County Workforce Investment Board and can assist low-income individuals, ages 16-21, with work experience/job placement in a position paid for by SEE. The intent is to give the student a "real world" job experience.

In addition, the program provides:

Job readiness training including applications, resumes and interviewing
Job placement
Approximately 150 hours of paid experience
Vocational counseling and career goal setting
Post-secondary education guidance
Referrals to Armed Services
Workshops on safety, ethics and life skills
Support in other areas as needed
Follow-up services
