Teacher Induction Programs (TIPs)
The Teacher Induction Programs unit was formed to facilitate support programs for new teachers. The unit includes the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Induction and IMPACT Intern programs. Beginning teachers enter one of these programs depending on the amount and type of education obtained and their past work experience. Each program is organized to support the new teacher in meeting state-required competency standards. The California BTSA Induction Cluster Region Director's office is also located within the TIPs offices. The Teacher Induction Programs work closely with the California Teacher Recruitment Program.
