CyberQuest RubricDownload Rubric in Word Format or PDF FormatThe rubric contains all of the criteria for each skill area: speaking, presentation and research. It is also the guide that the judges will use in scoring presentations. We suggest that you review the rubric with your students so that they can use it as a guide in preparing their presentations. BibliographyThe bibliography page must be handed to the judges at the beginning of the presentation. Acknowledging sources of information and graphics is an important part of making a presentation. The following suggestions are provided for students to use in preparing their bibliography. Although not required, students should strive for correct and consistent American Psychological Association (APA) citation format. For correct APA format, visit: Using APA Format or APA Citation Style. A citation generator is available online. It uses a wizard for various reference sources to create MLA and APA format citations. You can copy and paste them into a word processor or presentation software. It is called Citation Machine, a free service offered by The Landmark Project. Last year, some teams came to the competition with no bibliography at all while others went far beyond the grade-level minimums. Guidelines for the bibliography are less rigid this year. Rather than specifying a number of references for each grade level, we are stressing the need for adequate support of information presented. It is important to remember that sources for graphics must be acknowledged, too. A variety of sources should be used. Categories of sources include, but are not limited to: Internet, databases, periodicals, interviews, books, audiotapes, letters, newspapers, television, videotapes, and email. |
