Open to students in grades PK-12, the annual Student Art Exhibition showcases the county’s gifted young artists. Beginning in March, student artwork is displayed in a public online gallery viewable above. While in the past, entries were judged by local artists to receive a Best of Show award, this year we are centering student voice and asking each school to nominate their Best of Show pieces. Teachers will compile the student responses and submit their top two nominees. Best of Show honors will be posted at the end of March.
In March, during California Arts in Education Month (AEM), additional videos and digital images of Tulare County students engaged in all five arts disciplines (dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts) will be added to the online gallery. Teachers interested in submitting their students' work for the special AEM exhibition are encouraged to contact Kate Stover at kate.stover@tcoe.org.
