The Athlete of Character Award honors student-athletes who consistently demonstrate strong character and uphold positive values, based on the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

NOMINATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED AND WILL OPEN IN THE SPRING OF 2026

Qualifying Student-Athletes:                                                                                                                              

• Be a 2024-2025 student-athlete at a Tulare County High School                                                     
• Possess a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
• Exhibit exceptional sportsmanship and leadership
• Demonstrate the Six Pillars of Character
